I joined the Brambles team in March 2014 and have been at Figheldean as deputy manager, manager, senior manager and now Area manager for our 5 settings and holiday club.
I have had many years of experience in early years and and schools in a variety of settings. I gained my Ba Hons in Primary practice at Winchester university while being an early years practitioner.
I am passionate about treating people as individuals, meeting the needs of our families and my team at Figheldean as well as our wider Brambles community in my new role. The children are at the heart of what we do here at Brambles.
At home, my Fiancé and I just got engaged in Cyprus and have brought our first home together which we share with our rescue dog Ruby. We love spending time with her outdoors across the plain.

Hi I'm Bex and I belong to the Brambles Owl family at the Brambles Figheldean setting. My Brambles journey started in 2021 as a SEN Practitioner in Foxes, however, I was offered the role of Deputy Manager for their Owls Family and I jumped at the opportunity!
​
I have a genuine passion for for supporting children achieve the best start in life. I am currently working towards a BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies.
​
Away from Brambles I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family. I also love travelling and exploring different cultures of the world.

Hi, I’m Beki and I started my Brambles adventure in 2019 as a Practitioner. In 2020 I became a Senior Practitioner and I have now progressed to the role of Deputy Manager alongside one of my lovely colleagues! I love that Brambles has given me such wonderful opportunities and I have gained so much experience from it. I have worked in childcare for eight years and in 2020 I started studying the Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner Level 5 and since then, I have learnt new skills that I have been able to take to my practice. I love watching the children grow and being part of their development is very rewarding.

In my spare time I enjoy walking in the countryside or visiting the beach especially when the sun is setting! I love going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Hi, my name is Emily and I have been working in Early years since I was 17. I have a degree in Early Childhood studies and my Early Years Professional status. I love working with children watching them explore new activities, grow and develop. I have worked in a variety of different settings who have used different approaches to learning.
In my spare time I enjoy going for walks out in the New Forest, baking lots of yummy goodies and I love to sew making various creations. I have recently learnt how to make children’s clothes. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to make my own wardrobe!!

Hi, my name is Jo and I have over 15 years experience working with children aged 0-5 years and I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. I previously worked in a nursery for eight years before having the opportunity to work as a family support worker in a Children's Centre. During this role I gained extensive knowledge of safeguarding young children and families.

I have two children aged five and ten and we love being outdoors, especially finding big puddles to bike through or to jump in! I also love playing netball, walking our dog and generally seeking out adventures with my family!

Hi, My name is Jay and I’ve worked in Early years for 10 years and have also worked in Residential childcare for 2 years. Here is where I developed a huge passion for safeguarding and child protection and became involved with Safeguarding in early years. I am excited to take on the role of Brambles Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
I enjoy getting stuck in with messy, creative and physical play, keeping our hearts and minds healthy.
Away from Brambles I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exploring and going on adventures.

Hi I’m Kate and I’m a senior practitioner in foxes. I have 20 years of primary teaching experience and have mainly worked with year 1 and reception aged children.
I’m mum to Four teenagers and as they are older now, I’m lucky to be able to focus on working in early years in the amazing outdoor settings that Brambles offer.
Being outside has so many advantages and it’s great to watch the children progress and gain skills needed to help them transition to school.
In my spare time I like to watch my sons play football, walk my dog and tend to my allotment with my partner

Hi my name is Clare, I have enjoyed many years working with children and young people in a variety of settings. I worked in residential children’s care homes for 12 years specialising in working alongside children who have speech, communication difficulties and Autism. I have lots of SEN qualifications, including Thrive and Makaton training. I have experience in residential schools, outdoor activity centres and in the Early Years setting in schools.
Outside of work I love to have adventures with my family, enjoying camping, walking our dog and riding our pony. I can also be found a few nights a week playing on a Netball court.

I started my Brambles journey in January 2019 as part of the Owl Family here in Figheldean near Salisbury. I completed my level 3 in September 2020 and I can’t wait to continue helping and supporting all of our young people as they grow and develop at Brambles.
In my spare time I love going out for walks and bike rides with my three nephews as well as helping my mum or dad outside in their gardens planting flowers and vegetables.

My name is Amy, I previously worked in childcare for 2 years and i have almost finished my studies for my level 3.
I took a year out where I served coffees and yummy cakes as assistant manager of a coffee shop but I always knew that I wanted to come back to childcare and I’m super excited to work in such a unique setting.

Hi, My name is Megan I am currently an apprentice at Brambles Fighledean, working towards my level three. I have around a years worth of experience working with children in early years. I have also done some work experience in primary schools.

I have a Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching and Development, I am also a level 2 football coach.
I have previously worked in Primary Schools covering PE lessons. I enjoy helping children to learn new skills whilst having fun.
I am also a Military wife and in my spare time I love exploring Salisbury plain with my husband and 2 young children.

Hi, I'm Jemma and I first started my Brambles journey in June 2019 as an apprentice, where I was able to complete my level 2.
After a short move, I came back to the area in late 2022 and I'm extremely excited to be back on my Brambles journey again!
I'm a mum of two daughters with Sen so I believe in getting out in nature and enjoying the space and resources around us.
We have 5 dogs so we enjoy going out on lots of walks and outdoor adventures as a family.

Hi I'm Michelle, I have 35 years of catering background. I have worked in contract catering, catering within care homes, military kitchens and schools, enjoying all 3 sectors.
I have qualifications in food safety, health and safety, allergens and nutrition.
Since joining the Brambles family I am able to enjoy quality time with my family especially my new grandchildren.

Hi, I’m Chloe and I’ve recently joined the Brambles Figheldean family as an Apprentice Practitioner. I fell in love with childcare whilst caring for my nephews, and wanted to make the fun and laughter my full time job!
I really enjoy teaching the children new skills and watching their friendships grow. There is no better feeling than seeing a child thrive!
In my spare time at home I like to cook food from all around the world for my family, and reading lots of books.
