About Brambles Wilton

A Natural Learning Journey

Guided by Nature, Inspired By Nature

Brambles Wilton is located in the market town of Wilton, less than 10 minutes from Salisbury in Wiltshire.

Our Story

Brambles Wilton opened in January 2021 and we are delighted that we are growing fast. We are passionate about the outdoors and take our inspiration from a forest school ethos.

We are very lucky to be situated amongst open fields with horses and a lovely little stream where the children enjoy seeing the ducks. Our Bramblers thrive in our two gardens with our lovely mature oak tree.

We cook our snacks on the open fire which could be anything from a healthy omelette made from eggs from our resident chickens to homemade a hearty vegetable soup. The children are involved in preparing the snack and they learn about the ingredients we use.

The owls and foxes have their own cosy treehouse to spend some quiet time and we have a yurt with a log burner for the cooler months.

Our setting here in Wilton boasts of many different areas for the children to develop both physically and emotionally. There is a mud kitchen, reading area (we love reading!), quiet space, a creative area, loose parts/large construction area,  swing and vegetable patch. Different provocations (to motivate thinking or investigation) and resources are introduced to encourage the children to take their play in any direction they choose.
